C4ISR Professional

Without doubt, the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) is a core competency area. From a commercial standpoint, that means we are experts in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and digital mapping, location-based services, spatial databases, networking, computer hardware, imagery, and many communication protocols.

From a purely Department of Defense perspective, our engineers have been leaders in the use and specification of:

  • Tactical Data Links (TADILs), to include real-time aviation Link-16 communications and Variable Message Format (VMF) for ground Blue Force Tracking (BFT), and XML-based formats such as Cursor on Target (CoT) and web service standards.
  • C4ISR systems, such as Global Command and Control System – Joint (GCCS-J), Command and Control Personal Computer (C2PC), Joint Tactical COP Workstation (JTCW), Agile Client, Blue Force Tracker (BFT), Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), Integrated Intelligence and Imagery (I3) and Modern Integrated Database (MIDB), Unit Operations Center (UOC), and Target Laser Designation and Handoff System (TLDHS).
  • Communications systems, such as EPLRS, PRC-117, SMART-T, MIDS Terminals, and other Line of Sight (LOS) and Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) systems.

Examples of our C4ISR accomplishments are spread across our Solutions page. Key examples are the Marine Corps Situational Awareness architecture developed by our founder described in our Enterprise Architecture page, The If you have questions concerning the systems or techniques used in these projects, please Contact Us.
